We were so furtunate to have Monica as our realtor in the purchase of our first home. (on Storrie Road)

Monica wasn't just a terrific communicator, sage advisor, and staunch ally - she also came through for us when we needed her most. At 2PM on the day of our offer, our mortgage broker was balking on approval. After a call from Monica. . . . the removal of financing conditions proved instrumental in having our offer accepted. . . . But it was just one of many indicators that behind Monica's kindly and unassuming exterior lurked a tough negotiator and fierce advocate for our interests.

We don't know if we would own our home right now if we'd had any other agent. Monica warned us that it would be far from easy, and that we would be hard-pressed to find the home we wanted in our price range in such a tough sellers' market. At the end of the day, she made it happen for us in about six weeks. From start to finish, her performance was a tour de force.

"Monica was our realtor in the purchase of a condominium in the city, which we use as a base when we leave our home on Bowen Island.  She also acted for our New Zealand son in a similar investment some years later.

At both times the property market was hot.  Monica proved a resourceful agent digging up an almost endless supply of new listings, arranging a slew of appointments: and getting to grips with those small details of condo purchase like the effectiveness of council, getting hold of council minutes; and making sure that we would not be committing ourselves to vast new expenditures in fixing leaky roofs, etc.

Communication, despite the difficulties of Island separation, was always excellent.  Monica make a point of keeping you in touch with developments and actually answers the phone rather than leaving recorded messages.  In working through the nitty gritty of offers and counter offers, loans and mortgages, she was knowledgeable and a helpful guide.  

In the case of our son, she had to work on a much tighter schedule.  He and his wife and family were visiting us for a week before returning home.  Monica found a condominium for them, and concluded the sale before they left.  She subsequently acted on their behalf to organize an agent to look after the rental of the property.

If you're looking for a realtor it would be hard to beat Monica.  Over the years we have bought and sold many pieces of real estate with a number of different agents, Monica has been one of the best."
